David - Chef / Owner
Half Finnish, half Dutch, David is the owner and chef of Flor restaurant and wine bar in Helsinki
With more than 20 years of experience in the restaurant industry, including nine years as owner and chef of restaurant Natura, he has worked in Michelin-starred restaurants in Finland, France, the Netherlands and England.
The most significant places that have inspired and shaped David’s career include three Michelin Star restaurant Gordon Ramsay’s Royal Hospital Road, two Michelin Star restaurant Le Gavroche in London, and one Michelin Star restaurant Chez Serge in La Rochelle. The lessons and values from these experiences are reflected in his own kitchen.
David focuses on sustainability, creativity, and delivering exceptional dining experiences. In Flor, he wants to deliver a no-fuss, easy-going and energetic atmosphere with simple, modern dishes made with high-quality ingredients.

Natalia - Restaurant Manager
Natalia is the restaurant manager of Flor. She has worked in some of Finland’s best restaurants, gaining extensive experience and honing her skills in top-tier hospitality. Her exceptional leadership abilities ensure the smooth operation of both restaurants, from the kitchen to the dining room, creating consistently excellent guest experiences.
Natalia is David’s trusted right hand, overseeing the entirety of both restaurants with professionalism and dedication. Her ability to lead by example, combined with her warm and approachable nature, makes her a vital part of the team.
Natalia is known for her friendliness, attentiveness, and remarkable ability to anticipate guest needs, ensuring every customer feels welcomed and valued. Her hands-on approach and attention to detail elevate the level of service, setting a high standard for both Natura and Flor.
In addition, Natalia has a strong commitment to sustainability, ensuring that the restaurants operate with environmentally conscious practices. From minimizing waste to supporting local and organic suppliers, she plays an integral role in aligning the restaurants’ operations with their values of sustainability and responsibility.
Devis - Somelier
Devis, originally from Italy, is responsible for the wine selections at both Restaurant Natura and Flor. With extensive experience in Michelin-starred restaurants in Italy and England, including the renowned Chez Bruce and Ritz in London, he has developed exceptional expertise in curating wine programs and pairing wines with diverse and refined menus.
Devis has a deep passion for small producers and Old World wines, with a particular focus on organic and biodynamic practices. He seeks out wines that embody craftsmanship, tradition, and sustainability, ensuring that the wine lists at both restaurants reflect these values. His selections celebrate authentic and high-quality wines that perfectly complement the restaurants’ focus on seasonal and sustainable cuisine.
Known for his calm and friendly demeanor, Devis creates a warm and inviting atmosphere for guests. Customers appreciate his Italian charm, attentiveness, and ability to make the wine selection process enjoyable and approachable. His dedication to understanding each guest’s preferences, combined with his exceptional knowledge, makes him an indispensable part of the dining experience at Natura and Flor.
